The program was designed to provide fundamental theoretical knowledge in relation to sport and exercise sciences. The programme also provides a lot of hands on for students to acquire technical and practical skills in exercise setting. Graduates from this programme are expected to meet demands from sport and health related industries in the country or at least to provide a firm foundation for the students should they pursue for Bachelor degree. In sport science,the areas of studies focus on the application of scientific methods on performance. Studies in these areas prepare students for a career in the fitness and sport industry,and/or any industry that is directly or indirectly related to the sport sceince. The programme offers knowledge,training and research in sport and provides students the opportunity to work with elite athletes.
The accountancy programme has been designed with the objective of training Bumiputera in the field of accountancy at a sub professional level. This programme is fully recognized by the Government as a professional qualification, and other related bodies especially Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA) as a professional qualification. The Program aims to fulfil the needs for the information and knowledge workers who play a vital role in the information industry. The graduates are educated to gain knowledge on information literacy, information handling, information communication and technology applications to carry out the success of vision 2020. The government realized the importance of information and knowledge as the lifeblood of the information society to improve the quality of life, economy and work environment including facilitate a better and more structured decision making process. Malaysia has been transformed from the industrial age to information age, the endeavor to support this includes the progress of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) to support the information industry. Therefore the main objective of this program is to equip graduates with cutting edge knowledge and information management skills to help accomplish government aspire towards vision 2050.
The programme focuses on technical knowledge and practical skills in graphics topics, such as imaging (photographic, graphic design and illustration), typography (the style, size and arrangement of letters), textures, lines and colours. It also focuses on comprehensive lectures and design software training on the practical skills in graphic design. The centre of studies for Quantity Surveying is one of the pioneering centre of studies established at faculty. The centre of studies currently conducts two programmes - Diploma in Quantity Surveying (DQS) and Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (BQS). To date, more than 5,000 diploma students and over 2,000 degree students have graduated from these programmes.

The nursing programme strives to educate caring, humane, competent, professional nurses who are able to adapt innovatively to technological advances in the ever-changing health care of the nation through regularly updating the curriculum, learning and teaching methodology. The graduates should be able to promote, maintain and restore health, and prevent diseases in the community; provide quality, effective and comprehensive nursing care using nursing process; apply the skills of management when planning and implementing health care services; accountable for all nursing practices as stipulated by the Nurses' Act; participate as a competent team; teach health care to individuals, families and community and encourage them to take responsibility for their own health; establish, facilitate and maintain good interpersonal relationship with patients, families, community and fellow workers; develop self-awareness and commitment to lifelong professional development; develop interest for career advancement into nursing subspecialties, hospital management, and teaching in educational programmes.

It remains as one of the highly seek programmes among students undertaking diploma programme. The programme is offered at various UiTM campuses : Arau, Sungai Petani, Alor Gajah, Segamat, Jengka, Machang, Dungun, Kota Kinabalu and Samarahan. The programme of Diploma in Business Studies provides a good background of business facts and knowledge and prepares students for the Bachelor programme in the various specialized field of business. This 3-year programme includes the study of accounting, economics, marketing, management, math and statistics, language and communication, information technology and legal foundations. These wide ranges of business courses provide students with a strong basis in facing the various facets of business challenges.

Diploma in Science (DIS) was introduced in the May 2001 Academic session with a pioneer batch of thirty-three students. Initially, this programme was conducted over 5 semesters (2 1/2 years). From June 2003 onwards, the new curriculum structure was introduced and the tenure of study was extended to 6 semesters (3 years). The introduction of the DIS programme to this campus also marked another important chapter for UiTM Sarawak as this programme caters for aspiring students who are interested in the field of applied sciences. Starting from November 2013, the program is back to be conducted over 5 semester (2 1/2 years). This program emphasizes on strengthening the knowledge of students in Science and Mathematics. Apart from this, students are also exposed to various lab skills that cover the area of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The graduate of this program can further their studies in a vast area at degree level. The students have the option to do their degree in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying, Faculty of Health Science and the Faculty of Medicine, in any universities in Malaysia.

The Diploma in Tourism Management programme was introduced in 1976. This two and the half year programme expose students to the world of tourism. The programme was designed to provide students with comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge and hands-on experience at operational and management levels. Since then, this programme has developed an excellent reputation within the tourism industry in the country for the quality of the graduates.
Diploma in Public Administration (DPA) was introduced in 1967 and has been a pioneer academic programme offered by the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies (FSPPP). Since its inception, DPA has produced many successful graduates and prominent public figures in the country. In this full-time programme, students will be exposed to multiple disciplines of knowledge in the areas of Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Statistics, Coputer Science, Accounting and Economics. Bachelor of Administrative Science (Hons) is a 3 year programme which prepares undergraduates for employment in the public and private sectors. The programme covers a blend of knowledge and skills in Policy Analysis, Ethics in Administration, Project Management, Public Financial, International Relations, Environmental Management, Strategic Management, Innovation Management, Human Resource Management and Quality Management. The programme is offered in UiTM Campuses in Seremban 3, Sungai Petani, Samarahan 2 and Kota Kinabalu.
Diploma in Civil Engineering include the fundamentals, theory and application in Civil Engineering. All the diploma programmes offer basic courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and introduction to engineering fundamentals such as technical and building drawings. During the second year, emphasis is placed on fundamental engineering knowledge in engineering sciences, mechanics and analysis. In the final year, students will carry out analysis and group design work which include experiences using software. Diploma in Electrical Engineering will exposed students to the fundamental of electrical and electronic engineering, concepts and application of power generation, transmission and distribution. With an emphasis on the utilization and control of power and technology, the programme will provide students with a strong foundation for the challenges ahead. Students will be exposed to industrial environment during their industrial attachment. They are given freedom to choose their area of interest in doing their final year project based on electrical and electronics concept. The profession of chemical engineers uses the knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences gained through study and practical experience and this knowledge is applied through analysis and design to solve problems as well as to develop processes and systems for the benefits of mankind. To help the chemical engineers in the chemical industries, a large number of skilled technical personnel are very much required. Realising this need, we designed a curriculum towards the conferment of the Diploma in Chemical Engineering. The first intake of students in Universiti Teknologi MARA Sarawak began in 2007. This programme also is offered at the UiTM Pasir Gudang, Johor and UiTM Bukit Besi, Terengganu campuses.
As one of the Malaysian leading providers of educational courses, we are committed in meeting the learning needs of adult learners of Bumiputera of all stages of life across a diverse range of interests. The centre started playing its major role in educating adult learners dated back from 1973 when UiTM (previously known as ITM) started venturing into off-campus educational programs. The external Education Centre was established in 1990 with the aim to provide opportunities for working adults to further and obtain a quality tertiary education. In order to keep abreast with the current needs for global education, the centre was rebranded by the name of Institute of NEO Education (iNED) University Teknologi MARA, focussing on providing innovative educational approach to working adults.
The Academy of Language Studies (ALS) or Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (APB) was established in 1972 for the purpose of co-ordinating the learning and teaching of English as a Second Language (ESL), as well as that of other Asian and European languages to all the students of UiTM. With the setting up of this nerve centre, UiTM’s language curriculum was formulated to cater for the ever-growing number of students who need to be proficient not only in the English language, but also in a third language. The third languages which are offered at this moment are Mandarin and Arabic. This language competency gives UiTM students a competitive edge in the job market.
