Abstract |
Ecosave Soundproof Prototype (ESP) can be used to identify materials that can absorb or block out sound. It is a cubic shaped soundproof box with an opening. The Opening is for inserting and the testing of soundproof materials. It is suitable for use in studios, halls, rooms, and noisy places. It uses waste materials such as sugar cane waste, rice straw, newspapers and coconut husks to block out or absorb sound. These materials are cheaper than the currently used expensive sound-absorbing materials of high quality cotton fabric, foam and sponge. The use of these waste materials to replace the existing materials as sound absorbers will benefit everyone as it is cost effective. |
