Abstract |
With the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the education sector
worldwide had to switch from the
traditional mode of teaching to e-learning. There is a dire need to create a
platform which is not only
interesting, educational, but also accessible by all students no matter where
they are. As in the case of
UiTM, lecturers who were assigned to teach Integrated language Skills 1
(ELC121) had to find and adapt
materials found both online and offline for their respective classrooms, catering
to the needs of their
students. With the impending situation, the GramCHQ was created in order to
achieve three main
objectives: 1) to create an interesting learning environment for students to learn
grammar, 2) to promote
self-directed learning among students 3) to produce a platform which allows
both teachers and students to
gain feedback on the success of each grammar lesson. One of the most
interesting features of GramCHQ is
its ubiquitous access which allows the teaching-learning process to take place
anytime and anywhere. The
results from pilot test revealed that students viewed GramCHQ as a useful and
practical tool for learning
Grammar. The product has commercialisation potential as it is a ready-made
teaching aid which can be
sold in the market as E- grammar textbooks. |
