Abstract Achatina fulica or Giant African Snail (GAS) is a species of large land snail that belongs to the family Achatinidae. The GAS has been considered as a significant cause in pest issues around the world because causing large damages to farms, commercial plantations and domestic gardens. The natural habitat for GAS is a tropical climate with warm, year round temperature and high humidity. The average lifespan for GAS between three to five years, and it can reach ten years. GAS preferred vascular plant as their food and the infestation started at the end of the evening and stopped in mid-morning. In Mukah Campus, GAS cause up to 90% damage to the plants. Due to this problem, it is very important to control the population of GAS as it can reduce the yield of production. Commonly, the methods to control the GAS is by using the insecticide such as Malathion which contain chemical substance that indirectly give harmful effects on human’s health and environment. As people keep on using synthetic chemical substances, the environment accumulates the residues and later become pollutants. Moreover, application of insecticides also can give effect on the soil properties as well as cost increment. Application of biopesticide is the best solution to overcome this problem. Eco-Pest Buster (EPB) is a plant-based insecticide with 100% concentration that made up from garlic and cayenne which is chemical free and nontoxic. The main benefit of this product is zero toxic residues. This product derived from plant-based material which is safer and does not affect human’s health. Besides that, it is also eco-friendly where there is no fear of environment pollution. Lastly, this product also more cost effective because the material that are used is easy to get and it is low cost material.
