| Abstract |
Words with HSK is designed for teaching and learning vocabulary in
Mandarin. Most of the research revealed that vocabulary learning play an
important role for better acquisition of language as it is the initial step in
language learning. It is particularly crucial to enhance the learner’ vocabulary
knowledge to perform string of language skills such as reading and speaking
(Nation & Waring, 1997). However, traditional teaching and learning strategies
include mechanical drilling and memorizing boredom the learners, thus turn
down learners’ aspiring in their learning. As such, Words with HSK is
introduced to provide a fun and simple way for learners to enrich their
vocabulary in Mandarin. It comprises 150 words from HSK. In terms of its
potential for commercialization, it enables to be marketed with affordable price
for learners. |
