Abstract |
Starfruit jam is very well known in countries of the Caribbean but for creating
something considered new on the contrary, we choose belimbing tunjuk.
This fruit is found to be growing in the village areas and commonly used in
the daily cooking in the Malay dishes such as sambal, asam pedas or served
as preserved fruit. However, to add difference to its usage, this fruit is
chosen to be used in jam making so as to offer varieties to customers who
are interested of having it with bread, crackers, cake baking, pie making etc.
With this jam, it will enable the consumers to try out a new product which
has the potential to be commercialized in the market. To enhance its taste,
creativity and innovate way of preparing, we add lemon, honey and sugar as
our additional ingredients to give the product a new twist of its own. |
