| Abstract |
Often or not learning Mandarin is an uphill task for children or beginner
learners, especially non-Chinese learners who are lack of supportive learning
environment for them to pick up the target language. On top of that, the
challenge of understanding the writing of Mandarin characters in correct order
makes the learners give up learning Mandarin quickly or abandon the learning
all together. As such, Hanzi Swype Learning (HSL) Beta is designed to
address all these. HSL Beta is a digital learning platform that promotes self-
directed learning. It enables learners to enjoy learning and practicing the
complicated strokes of the characters while improving their accuracy and
proficiency of vocabulary learning in Mandarin. Added features in this one-
stop application allow learners to master writing Mandarin characters correctly
at the same time assists them to acquire Mandarin characters in a hassle-free
manner. |
