| Abstract |
I-KEN is a calculator to measure the risk of young teenagers
that may be at risk being delinquent. It is well known from the
statistics and reports in the media of how social issues among
youth are getting on the rise. Issues such as addiction to
drugs and alcohol, having sexual relationship out of wedlock,
theft, gangsterism and others occur in many young teenagers
in schools. Many of the research are focusing on the factors or
why these youth are involved and how to curb them from
escalating. Furthermore, currently the ratio for Malaysian
School is only one school counselor allocated for every 500
students .Obviously the school may not be able to intervene
and help if there are too many delinquent students in a their
school. Hence, this index is to help not only the school
counselor and school to detect any high risk/potential trouble-
maker in their school, but also act as an indicator to parents
and the community to also help these young adults before
they go too far and get involved in more serious crimes later in
their life.
