| Abstract |
Non-revenue water (NRW) is one of the major issues affecting water utilities in
the developing country. The main source of NRW comes from pipe leakage. In
UiTM, leakage in water distribution system may affect the students’ daily
activities. The innovation of Smart Water Leakage Detector is able to detect
leakage from pipes that are installed in the campus building. The SWaL Detector
is an eco-friendly product because it helps to save water usage by reducing the
amount of NRW and this will indirectly cut the cost of unaccounted water
wastage especially in the campus. This detector applies a simple electrical
circuit in which when there are leakages, alarm will be triggered. The SWaL
Detector can be extended from a campus to a wider area. |
