| Abstract |
English for Pre-Diploma 1 (EPD1) is an upgraded version of English for Pre
Diploma 1 (Science) online massive open online course (MOOC). The content
of the online course has been modified due to extreme changes in the current
syllabus of ELC010: English for Pre Diploma 1. More options are designed to
ensure that interactive and engaging content meet the students' needs in
mastering the English language. The assessment part has been added to the
course online with new assessment entitle "SMASH HITS!". This amendment
is made to fit the assessment as written in the latest syllabus which includes
“Jumbled-up Lyrics”. In order to create the assessment creatively, the MOOCs
developer utilizes the quiz widgets called “Mix and Match” to create the
assessment by using latest and smash hit songs. Hence, students will be able
to enjoy the songs while practicing their listening skills which will eventually
help them in improving the English proficiency. Most importantly, with English
for Pre Diploma 1 (MOOC), students will find that the learning of English is
actually fun and interactive! So, keep calm and let’s MOOC the EPD1! |
