The process of preparing a corpse for burial following religious practices
requires a specific set of steps, necessitating suitable facilities. This is
especially true for muslim communities. However, currently available dead
body bathing facilities are generally incorporated into the infrastructure of
buildings, incurring high costs, and taking up large amounts of space. This
results in an inflexibility to accommodate varying logistics requirements
depending on geographical settings, such as rural areas with limited road
access. In addition, large manpower is needed to transport these apparatus,
further increasing their impracticality. The "Tempat Mandian Jenazah (TMJ)
Mudah Alih" or "Portable Dead Body Bathing Apparatus" provides a 1)
portable, 2) lightweight, 3) ergonomic, and 4) cost effective solution to
address these concerns. The equipment is easily folded, vastly decreasing its
space consumption. It is convenient for use by the muslim community,
especially those in rural areas where access through normal transportation is
limited. It is also useful for mosques and educational institutes by providing a
significantly more cost effective alternative to the conventional bathing rooms. |
