The 30 items in UCEBCal was developed and validated through an iterative and rigorous psychometric and statistical analyses. Data was collected from 214 undergraduates in Malaysia who have participated in several different community engagement activities in 2016. UCEBCal is expected to accomplished two major tasks. Firstly it can be used to measure community engagement benefits in four categories: Civic Skills, Interpersonal and Communication skills, Diversity Skills and Career Skills. Secondly, a Gain Index for each of these categories can be calculated for each undergraduate and presented in a radar chart. |
