| Abstract | Each year, plantation industry produces million matrix tons of plastic waste. Use of plastics from pots can cause pollution to the environment or land when exposed to prolonged weather changes. This decomposition of the plastic can cause toxicity to the soil and subsequently, if it is absorbed by the plant, it can also be harmful to health when consumed. The use of 3 in1 CocoirPot is an environmentally friendly innovation made from coconut fiber with composite mixtures that can overcome the problem of soil pollution especially soil. The cost required is minimal; only used waste materials such as coconut husk available in villages or coconut-based products processing factories. The materials used are coconut fiber, coconut shell, compost and starch as adhesive agent. This pot is designed to plant trees such as saplings, flowers and other small plants. The pot can also be planted directly into the soil during the process of seedling transplant to the nursery. |
