Stack Attack comes in 45 wooden blocks with imprinted ice-breaker question
strips. The game enables players to not only stack up the blocks but also to
form close bonds with other players by creating a shared experience in an
engagingly fun way. Players take turns to remove a block then answer
questions given on the block before stacking it up crossway on the top layer of
the block. The game ends when the tower of blocks topples down. What
makes this game unique is the combination of InterCreActive element –
Interactive, Creative, Active platforms to motivate and enhance players’
engagement which allows the players to strategize, consider alternatives and
think flexibly without the risk of failure. The various interesting questions give
players the opportunity to enhance their proficiency and flexibility in using the
language, while the individual words (every side of the blocks) are carefully
selected from the Oxford 3000 Wordlist - words which are deemed imperative
in English language learning because of its importance and usefulness. Part
of the novelty lies in the combination of engaging tasks in the form of
questions and the element of games in optimizing maximum participation to
motivate players’ engagement. It can also be utilized as an ice-breaker tool,
team-building activity and additional English learning apparatus in educational
institutions and even corporate organisations. The feasibility of using wooden
blocks gives an estimation for affordable market platform for the game. It is
also seen as a key factor for successful commercialization as there are no
block-stacking games in the market that puts personal meaning, interest as
well as challenge together in a game for optimal brain activation. As players
struggle to balance the blocks from toppling down, they also attempt to be
answer the task in a stress-free environment by simply - Push in, pull out,
speak out, stack up! |
