| Abstract |
FloAsT (Flood Assist Tool) Kit is an invention to facilitate the public and
authorities during flood. It provides flood warning and other safety kits such as
first aid kit, rescue tube, life jacket, whistle and torchlight. This kit is using a
board of human figure as the main component in which it can be installed
either at the roadside or on the wall of a building. It is designed with water
level measurement to directly indicate the flood depth and hazardous level.
With a light reflector, FloAsT also guides vehicle crosses the flood especially
when the drainage is sunken during heavy storm event. Compared to the
existing Flood Measuring Gauge, the warning can be seen easily from far for
the public. The safety tools included in this kit will help in case the flood
victims get stranded during flooding. This product has a high
commercialization value especially for a flood-prone countries including
Malaysia since it provides a multipurpose usage and functions with less cost
of production, installation and maintenance. |
