| Abstract |
Business plan is an important written documentation for the new
entrepreneurs. This document contains the information related to products to
be sold or services to be provided, and detailed plans on marketing,
management, operational, and financial business. The financial parts is the
most crucial part in the business plan as it provides a clear picture on the
financial position of the business at current and the following period. However,
the new entrepreneurs are having difficulties to understand the recording
system and managing their financial. Besides,they are also having problems
to prepare the working paper and business plan while applying funding
assistance and other supporting systems. The Evaluator is having the
difficulties to evaluate the working paper and business plan due to
inconsistency and this delays the decision making process. Therefore, Sistem
Pengurusan Kewangan (SPEAK) was developed with the collaboration
between academicians from Business Management, Accountancy, Computer
Science and Mathematics to provide a solution to the above problems.
SPEAK has been successfully developed using Microsoft Excel software to
organize the records of the financial system which generates systematic and
comprehensive financial report, and thus creates
standardize reporting system to assist the Evaluator to make decisions on the
application. SPEAK has been commercialized with Sarawak Economic
Development Corporation (SEDC) and Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sarawak.
In addition, this product has been successfully raising additional income to
UiTM Sarawak through consultancy.
