Abstract |
Numbering system has become more ubiquitous among management
department and the needs of having improvement to this system is in high
demand. For example, a queue management system in UiTM Sarawak
during final examination is supposedly used to control queues efficiently
without any problem arise. However, this is where the problem lies. Usually
a queue management systems will set up to manage ticket ranking for a
service (with or without a numbered ticket) and lead people to feel stress for
waiting in a long time. In this case, no ticket number is provided and the
effectiveness is questionable. Therefore, an initiative has been designed by
using a chip as a numbering system with less cost but effective in handling
the queue especially for students while waiting to enter the examination hall.
With this, not only it allows the students to enter the exam hall effectively, but
they also know the seat and table number accordingly to the groups and
courses that they are registered with. The processes of collecting and
returning the chip back into a specific container are not only applicable for
the exam purpose, it is also can be used for any functions by other
departments. |
