Abstract |
TenZezLand (TZL) is an innovative structural linguistic board game which
deploys a wide range of twelve types of tenses content in a variety of
questions available from a single copy of board game. The idea behind the
innovation of TZL is to raise learners’ awareness on their usage of English
tenses through a non-traditional classroom teaching and learning tool. The
game itself synchronizes the knowledge of tenses and the appealing idea of
travelling to various worlds’ famous landmarks while applying Structural
Pattern Drill (SPD) as proposed by Paulston and Bruder (1976). One of the
best selling points of this board game is students would have an incidental
learning of tenses at the same time learning about the wonderful
destinations in the world. TZL can be used in a vast array of application
such as classroom learning, language training for trainee teachers and any
organization or learning institutions that wishes to reach the accuracy of
English tenses. At present time, there is no single board game that has
specifically designed to address the issue of tenses acquisition among
language learners. With the unique features of TZL which are user-friendly
and colourful, eye-appealing appearance, it comes with a detail manual to
accompany anyone’s understanding before playing the game. Hence, no
doubt that TZL is suitable for all language learners from all walks of life. |
