Abstract	Traditionally, the telekung, or muslim prayer outfit, has a very simple plain white design that many women find unappealing. This project proposes a new contemporary design for the telekung using the Malay songket as part of the fabric. Songket is very popular in Malaysia, yet is also very traditional and elegant, and therefore ideally suited for prayer. The songket design overcomes other issues women experience with the traditional telekung as well.
