Curcuma Longa or turmeric has been known for thousand years for its
amazing health promoting properties. In Malaysia, turmeric is acknowledged
as home remedy to relieve cough and cold for babies. The anti-viral and
anti-bacterial activity gives therapeutic effect that can help beat the infection.
Kunyit Balsamo is a medicinal balm containing turmeric as its main
ingredient. It serves its purpose to soothe new born to 18 month baby with
flu/runny nose. Its novelty is it is in the form of balm, thus it is easy to be
applied on baby’s forehead or nose and easy to be wiped clean. It is
traditional and natural in ingredients but modern in its packaging and form.
Product Values: to be applied on the baby's nose to stop flu (at least 3 times
a day). Since we cannot simply apply any type of medicinal balm or ointment
on a baby's skin, Kunyit Balsamo is a good solution as it is baby-friendly and
easy to carry anywhere. Commercialization Potential: can be widely
commercialized as it may interest few parties such as concerned parents
with babies, pharmacies as well as medical practitioners such as doctors
and nurses.
