Abundant sources of sago bark and fiber of extracted sago flour does not bring significant momentary economics to the farmers although the locals use the barks of the trunk as timber fuel, wall materials, ceilings and fences and fiber of extracted sago flour as animal feed. The kraft paper is produced by using a simple natural process. The kraft paper can be used as an innovative media in new surfaces for painters in their artwork and handicraft paper for gift wraps, photo frames and gift boxes. The utilities of these by-products reduce the enviromental pollution. It provides two aspects of commercial value: sales of raw materials by the rural community in the sago industry which can provide extra income and the production of art materials developed for artists and all handicraft lovers. |
