| Abstract |
In this theme, we introduce 5 DIY (Do-It-Yourself) products which are
custom-made and considered as must-have items especially for students
living in the hostels. Among them, the Inspirational Bookshelf and Mini-
Mazing Projector that are made basically out of recyclable materials. The
shape of the bookshelf is uniquely developed and decorated in a way to
inspire the students to achieve their goals. It also consists of several
additional functions including phone holder. As for the projector, it is simply
and creatively developed using available materials which are able to
produce images and videos and functions like a normal projector. The
concepts of our DIY products are to purposely demonstrate the importance
of sustainable product that is beneficial to the environment while challenging
our creativity to the fullest. Nonetheless, all the products introduced here
can be made without using high cost and this will reduce the expenses since
there is a lot of money usually required to buy basic necessities to fulfill our
desire, not just the needs. Our products are designed to attract people that
recyclable materials can be used to make goods that give benefits, in our
case, to the students and facilitate their daily lives. Our products are simple,
with adequate quality and the price is also affordable, so we believe that
they will have the potential to be commercialized. |
