Abstract |
The idea being introduced here is an aquarium designated to integrate
conventional aquaculture with hydroponics through a simple ecosystem
functions. GREEN AQUAPONIC is developed to improve the existing
aquatics and plantations sector in our country, which serves as among the
main contributors to our nation economic development. The concept here
will be able to reduce the area required in aqua-farming while promoting
various business opportunities in either local or international level since we
can export fishes, shrimps, fertilizers and vegetables as well. Indirectly, this
will reduce energy usage in terms of maintenance through the design
utilization. It can also act as aquaria, where children and adults can go for
sightseeing of the living creatures and experience different types of fish. It
addition to that, it also promote studies for bio-marine life. Students can go
on a school trip to the aquaria and learn about various kinds of fish and
more which lays a chance for them to improve their knowledge. The
students would basically know more than the ones who have not been to the
aquaria yet, leaving the experienced with an exquisite result when it comes
to being asked about it. To simplify, GREEN AQUAPONIC will have major
socio-economic impacts to at least three sectors (plantation, aquaculture
and education). We believe that this design has a high chance of potential
for commercialisation as it comes with more than one package for its uses. |
