| Abstract | In the fast moving political and organizational environment, decision making is a crucial process. Decision making is critical especially in choosing the right candidate for a post or in succession planning for the organization. All these while the process of getting candidate to fulfill a post in an organization would involve discussions based on opinion of the decision makers. Earlier researches showed that selection process in political candidacies is done based on favoritism by the top management or through public survey. Therefore “Mine Candidate†is developed to overcome the long and challenging process of selecting the best candidate for post in organizations. The system is meant to assist decision makers in making selection by using traits metric to filter the characteristics of the individuals that would suit the position. The system would be able to offer a more accurate and factual based decision as information are gathered based on details from the past events. The system is expected to compile the characteristics and traits of individuals who have been holding the post identified by the organization. As the system could be used by any political party as well as organizations, the opportunity for commercialization is wide in terms of the sales of the system as well as the training and consultations in using the system. |
