Abstract |
e-Integral Map is an innovative web application, which provides an alternative way for students
to learn integral calculus interactively. It help users with the identification of the correct
integration technique when solving integrals. The blending of hierarchical and layered
methods provides users with the opportunity to make decisions in problem solving as they are
led to experience varying levels of difficulty in content. Visual effects are also utilized to
enhance learning and understanding. Besides providing a rich learning experience and
reinforcement, it also caters to different ability level of users, which eventually encourages
independence in learning. e-Integral Map evolved from its earlier versions known as CalMAP
(2006-2008); I-kit (2009-2011); e-INTEGRAL MAP (2012-2013). e-Integral Map is a total
improvement from the earlier versions mainly in its theoretical contents and interactive feature
designs. The development of the latest version was fully supported by Sarawak Information
System Sdn Bhd (SAINS). SAINS, as part of its corporate social responsibility, is supporting
the development and implantation of e-Integral Map. It is anticipated that this mutually
beneficial project collaboration will further the university’s primary mission, which is education
and the advancement of knowledge through information and communication technology. |
