| Abstract |
‘The Play' learning activity is
conducted via role play for the
Company Secretary Practice (CRG530),
one of the courses taught in the
Bachelor of Accountancy (AC220)
program. It is intended to provide
real exposure to the students about
the conduct of a company meeting.
Before 'The Play' is carried out by
each group in the class, the
instructions have been given to
students approximately three weeks
prior to the meeting. Each group will
take approximately 30 minutes to
conduct meeting in the classroom. The
video recording was also taken for
each meeting. After the meeting, the
lecturer will give feedback on the
following aspects: 1) The relationship
of the purpose and nature of the
meeting; 2) The issue of discussion in
the meeting; 3) The results of the
meeting (Ordinary Resolution or
Special Resolution); 4) The form and
the documents used (depending on the
issue discussed). Majority of the
students agreed that the conduct of
'The Play' help in improving their
understanding of the topic "Company
Meeting". 'The Play' is a unique
learning activity for Accounting
program and usually run for BEL
courses at Universiti Teknologi MARA. |
