| Abstract |
Vintage MF Case (VMFC) is a handicraft for storing amenities such as stationery, lady’s accessories, cosmetics, sewing kits and any small utilities. It is also ideal as gifts and souvenirs. The uniqueness of this craft is in the process and the use of raw materials produced. Its raw material is recycled paper like old newspapers and magazines. Waterproofing material is applied to the VMFC surface to enable it to withstand splashes of water and air humidity. Raw material production techniques showcase the durability, glamour, elegance and quality of VMFC. Low cost production ensures its potential for commercialization. The making of this craft should be taught to the disabled and housewives. In turn, it contributes to the local economy by boosting the incomes of households and warrant employment for the disabled. The use of recycled paper in this product also responded to the Malaysian government’s green campaign. |
