Project Title Talun Bark Arrow Bag
Project Category Innovation
Abstract An arrow bag is a container for archers to keep arrows. In Sarawak, the talun bark is used by the Lun Bawang Community to make crafts such as vests and hats. It has never been used to produce an arrow bag. Archers can use an arrow bag to keep the arrows and it is easy to carry as they can sling it over their shoulder. This unique arrow bag can be used by Sarawak State Archers when they go for competitions. Apart from arrows, the bag can also be used to keep other items like maps or drawing. Its cylindrical shape makes it multi-purpose. Visitors to Sarawak can also buy it as a gift for their friends. This ‘Talun Bark Arrow Bag’ would have a positive impact on the Sarawak tourism and handicraft industry as it has potential to be commercialized and add on to the range of Sarawak handicraft products and to further develop the handicraft industry.
