Abstract About 50% of the population at the pre- pubertal age suffers from dandruff. Dandruff is not a disease of the hair or chronic condition but it is a shedding of the dead scalp’s skin. Renewing scalp’s skin is faster in a person who is suffering from dandruff. It is caused by the dirty hair or exposure to the high heat and cold. Most dandruff cases can be treated with specialized shampoos. However, some of these consumers are allergic to the chemical effects. Dandruff herbal shampoo is made from natural ingredients derived from Lepisanthes divaricata (Sapindaceae). There is no risk of chemical effect since the sources of the shampoo are plant parts and 100% natural ingredients. Besides anti-Dandruff properties, this species of plant is also used to treat or prevent hair loss. Thus it has a great potential as a product in a multi-billion nutrimetics industries.
