Program Details

The centre of studies for Quantity Surveying is one of the pioneering centre of studies established at faculty. The centre of studies currently conducts two programmes - Diploma in Quantity Surveying (DQS) and Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (BQS). To date, more than 5,000 diploma students and over 2,000 degree students have graduated from these programmes.

The 3-year diploma is conducted on a full-time basis. It currently has a total number of about 1,300 students in the branch campuses of Seri Iskandar, Perak and Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.

Since 2003, the student intakes for the bachelor programme have been steadily increasing and the department is gearing to have a yearly enrolment of 200 students.

On average, 75% to 80% of UiTM Diploma in Quantity Surveying holders proceeds for the bachelor in quantity surveying in local universities and abroad. Some pursue their first-degree in recognized universities in United Kingdom and Australia with advance entry into the second or third year of a 3-year or 4-year bachelor programme.

Diploma in Quantity Surveying is recognized by the Malaysian Government.

Job Opportunities

Graduates from this programme rank amongst the highest in term of employability within the Malaysian construction industry. They have excellent and wide-ranging employment opportunities with both public and private sector organizations in the construction industry. The private sector range from consulting, contracting to property/infrastructure development organizations, whilst the public sectors include Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), State Economic Development Corporations (SEDC), Local Authorities and government development agencies. The nature of work performed by the graduates within these organizations varies and may range from feasibility studies, cost planning, tender and contract management, construction economics and project management

Graduates have the opportunity to further study for their Bachelor Degree in local institution and abroad in the following fields: - Construction Management - Construction Technology - Quantity Surveying - Building Surveying - Civil Engineering - Architecture

Admission Requirement

Syarat Am
Lulus SPM atau yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya oleh Kerajaan Malaysia dengan mendapat LIMA (5) kepujian termasuk Bahasa Melayu DAN lulus Sejarah (Mula diguna pakai SPM 2013)
Syarat Khas - Lepasan SPM

Memenuhi SYARAT AM UNIVERSITI dengan mendapat kepujian dalam mata pelajaran:
-Matematik / Matematik Tambahan 
-Fizik / Kimia / Biologi / Sains Tambahan / Sains
-Bahasa Inggeris

Syarat Khas - Lepasan SIJIL POLITEKNIK/IKM/INSTITUSI LAIN
Lulus Sijil Politeknik atau institusi lain yang diiktiraf oleh Kerajaan Malaysia dalam bidang Ukur Bahan dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya HPNG 2.75

Lulus SPM/Setaraf dengan mendapat empat (4) kepujian termasuk:
-Kepujian Bahasa Melayu 
-Kepujian Matematik / Matematik Tambahan 
-Kepujian Sains / Fizik / Biologi / Sains Tambahan 
-Kepujian Bahasa Inggeris

Nota:
Bagi lulusan sijil sahaja, salinan permohonan dan salinan sijil yang telah disahkan perlu dihantar kepada Dekan, Fakulti Senibina Perancangan Dan Ukur, UiTM 40450 Shah Alam. (selewat-lewatnya satu minggu selepas tarikh tutup permohonan).

Syarat Khas - Lepasan PRA DIPLOMA UiTM
Lulus Naik Taraf (LNT) program Pra Diploma Sains (PD007/PD008) dari UiTM dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya HPNG 2.50
Syarat Khas - Lepasan APEL (ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING)

-Lulus MQA (ujian Aptitud dan Penilaian Portfolio).
-Berumur tidak kurang daripada 20 tahun pada tahun permohonan.
-Pengalaman bekerja dalam bidang berkaitan sekurang-kurangnya lima (5) tahun.
-Lulus temu duga yang dikendalikan oleh fakulti.
