Diploma in Electrical Engineering (EE111)

Program Details

Programme will exposed students to the fundamental of electrical and electronic engineering, concepts and application of power generation, transmission and distribution. With an emphasis on the utilization and control of power and technology, the programme will provide students with a strong foundation for the challenges ahead. Students will be exposed to industrial environment during their industrial attachment. They are given freedom to choose their area of interest in doing their final year project based on electrical and electronics concept.

Students graduating from the programme would have promising careers in any organization with excellent opportunities for advancement with their acquired knowledge. Well-prepared graduates will have a choice of positions such as Technical Support Engineers / Assistant Product Engineers / Production Technician / Marketing, Sales & Service Assistant Engineer / Quality Technician and many more.

Further Study Opportunities

Graduates can pursue their studies in either Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electronic Engineering OR Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electrical Engineering at UiTM Shah Alam OR Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering at UITM Pulau Pinang. Graduates may also apply to further studies at other IPTA and IPTS they want.

Admission Requirement

Six credits inclusive of Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and either one of Science / Technology / Vocational subject and a Pass in History OR a pass in Pre-Science Programme (PD008) UiTM OR a pass in Certificate of Polytechnic or other institution recognized by Malaysian Government with minimum Grade C in Mathematics, English, Engineering Science and FOUR(4) other subjects. Applicant are neither color blind nor handicapped as that might prohibit from completing laboratory work.
