Diploma in Civil Engineering (EC110)

Program Details

These programmes include the fundamentals, theory and application in Civil Engineering. All the diploma programmes offer basic courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and introduction to engineering fundamentals such as technical and building drawings. During the second year, emphasis is placed on fundamental engineering knowledge in engineering sciences, mechanics and analysis. In the final year, students will carry out analysis and group design work which include experiences using software.

Job Opportunities

Graduates from the Diploma in Civil Engineering programmes are qualified to work as Assistant Engineers or Technical Assistants in both private or public sectors. Equipped with technical and entrepreneurial knowledge, graduates should also be able to carry out their own business.

Further Study Opportunities

Alternatively, candidates can continue their studies and enroll in the Bachelor Degree programmes offered by the faculty, local or overseas universities.

Admission Requirement

A pass in SPM with credits in the following subjects: Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics English Chemistry, Biology or any Technical Subject (Pass in History, beginning SPM 2013) or Pass Pre Diploma Science (PD007/008) from UiTM
